Chiril's Story

A message from his mom:

My name is Irina, and I am a mother whose heart is shattered. My son is just a baby—far too small to be trapped in hospital wards, hooked up to IVs, or facing something as terrifying as a transplant.

Sometimes I watch him sleep, seeing his tiny fists clenched tight, and I just want to beg him for forgiveness. Forgiveness because I cannot take his pain away. Forgiveness because, as much as I love him, love alone is not enough to stop this disease.

We have spent months moving from one hospital to another, living through endless tests and waiting for results with our hearts in our throats. The news finally came, and it broke us: Chiril's only chance to live is an urgent liver transplant, followed by a kidney transplant.

There is no pain deeper than knowing your child's survival depends on a sum of money you simply do not have. To hold him in your arms and pray for just one thing—that he sees tomorrow. To lie awake every night, paralyzed by the question: "Will he live?"

Chiril does not understand he is fighting for his life. He just knows his mama is there. I refuse to give up, but I cannot do this alone anymore. The costs are astronomical; for our family, they are impossible.

So today, with a shattered heart, I am begging for your help. Please help me save my son. Every gesture matters—a donation, a share, or a prayer. What might be a small act for you is a lifetime for my boy. I dream of the day I see him running. I dream of counting his steps instead of the drops in an IV bag. I dream of a childhood without pain.

If there is room in your heart for a child who desperately wants to live, please... do not look away.

With hope and gratitude, Irina, his mother. THANK YOU!
